Skype Gets Video Messaging Support for iOS And Android

Video calls are a great way to take advantage of all the technology that goes into your smartphone, from tiny high-resolution cameras to speedy LTE radios. Problem is, they’re not exactly the most convenient thing to just jump into at any moment (similar to how text messaging became so preferable to phone calls for many of us). In order to still give you some of the benefits video calls while letting both you and whomever you’re calling do things on your own schedule, Skype has just introduced video messaging.

Research Document Implies April Samsung Galaxy S IV Launch, Describes Specs

Some alleged benchmarks and test images uploaded to Picasa popped up yesterday trying to depict one aspect or the other of the Samsung Galaxy S IV and it now appears that more reports are weighing in, not only on the future possible specs, but also on launch and availability dates.
According to the image above the 2013 Samsung flagship will purportedly feature a five-inch Full HD display (we previously heard of 4.99-inches, but it’s all the same), Samsung’s own Exynos 5440 SoC, 2GB of RAM, and Android 4.2 on-board. It is expected to be revealed next month, in March, or at least that’s what the info pictured above claims, pretty much in-line with previous rumors.

New Galaxy S IV Benchmarks, Camera Samples Uncovered

First up, we’ve got some NenaMark figures for what appears to be the Verizon version of the Galaxy S IV, model SCH-I545. Once again, like those last benchmarks we saw, this one’s raising some concerning questions about the phone’s chipset. The Adreno 320 GPU mentioned here, the same as with the SHV-E300S from earlier, implies a Snapdragon SoC rather than an Exynos 5. Could only the international version of the phone get an Exynos 5 Octa?
Then on Picasa we get see to a couple shots which claim to be taken by Samsung model GT-I9505, which would make it an international version of the GS4. With a resolution of 2322 x 4128, these finally give some support for the idea the Galaxy S IV could have a thirteen-megapixel main camera.
